Seascape (with Travelers)

First hearing on the outlands side,
as if the stream unleashed the romantic image,
cracking cheeks, the analytic caption.
Thus the color, the rock spines, the tidal fury.

They stand at the sea shore, then.
Because they couldn't stop talking
or may have changed their minds.

They are listed but not aboard,
as if what they said had meaning.
Action becomes a hope they remember.

What if their windows had the southern light?
What if they knew the hand that listed them?
Could there be an image in sound?
Ahead, around, the ocean basin, steel surface.
