dialogue two

the idea of climbing is hopeful
the act of climbing is appropriating
a sense of space

it is good to be several floors up wondering whether or not you are any good

there are at least two distinct flights to every floor

you will find people pay no attention

or complain about the climb you and your shortcomings

there they are neatly pointed out

and sometimes you are the door inhabiting incidental things
as if you could open them forever
